MHC Warming Center Needs – January 2021

The MHC Warming Center needs your help!

The center cannot open without dedicated volunteers who will make hot meals and deliver them, provide transportation to and from the center, check in the guests at intake, and stay overnight. CDC protocols are being followed, and the groups are typically very small. Can you help? Donations are also needed – see list below. This missions partner is doing important work caring for our neighbors on very cold nights this season. How can you help?

Volunteers

Transportation – See Libby Grammer or Kaylee White if you would like to drive the church bus to pick up and drop off guests. Pick up at the center in the mornings is 8:00 a.m. and pickup to take to the center in the evenings is at the Martinsville & Collinsville libraries beginning at 6:25 p.m.

To sign up for the following, visit the SignUp Genius Page for MHC Warming Center each week. This week’s link can be found by clicking Here.
Dinner – Make a warm meal for about 10 people and drop it off at the center by 6:45 p.m.
Intake – Sign in guests between 6:45 p.m. and 9:00 pm.
Overnight – Stay overnight with guests from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Clean Up – Clean the center on Saturday morning (no one there but you)

Training for Intake/Overnight is easy – just watch a video and take a short quiz!
