We heartily welcome Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) Collins as our new Minister of Music!
On Sunday, January 26, 2020, First Baptist Church called Becky Collins as our Minister of Music. Becky was warmly welcomed by the choir at rehearsal and by the congregation during worship. We are excited to share in ministry with Becky!
Our Personnel Committee found Becky to be engaging, loving, outgoing, and musically talented. She is authentically led by the Holy Spirit and excited for this opportunity to serve among the staff and members of First Baptist Church. Becky has many years of experience in ministry, both on her own and with her husband, Rev. Joe Collins, who is the new Chaplain of Good News Jail and Prison Ministry in Martinsville and Henry County. Becky and Joe moved to Martinsville in August 2019. Becky’s gifts for music are wide and varied, from private vocal and piano instruction, to church music ministry, to soprano soloist positions, to children’s music ministry, to choir ministry in prisons.
