Rev. Dr. Libby Grammer will preach a sermon entitled, “All In”
A lot of Christians tend to write off much of the Hebrew scriptures – they’re too confusing or not easy to apply to life today. But there are rich theological claims made in the narratives and in the books of prophecy we will miss if we aren’t taking the time to study them. Our passage from Isaiah this week is one of those. Well ahead of its time, this passage says God brings together people of all nations – Israelites and foreigners alike, all kinds of life situations – eunuchs and outcasts, all in one place – a “house of prayer for all peoples,” to worship and serve. Isaiah says not only does God intend to gather us all in to this house of prayer, but God wants us “all in” as well – maintaining justice, doing what is right, being faithful to God. What would church look like if we all gathered in like this vision in Isaiah? How can we intentionally live into this reality today?

Giving of our Resources
Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church, even as we cannot meet in person each week. You can give online here or mail / drop off your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to minister through virtual church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.
