Scriptures includes: Acts 3:12-29 and 1 John 3:1-7

Rev. Dr. Libby Grammer will preach a sermon entitled, “Change is Hard”

We have been adopted as God’s children, 1 John tells us. But it’s hard to recognize our new selves, much less have the rest of the world recognize how different we are as we are transformed into the likeness of Christ. And we still experience our own brokenness, yet God’s claim on our souls says we’re forgiven and made whole. Growing in faith may be a hard process, but the payoff is worth it. And what does that look like in community? Check out Acts 3.

Today is the Third Sunday of Easter. Easter Sunday was the beginning of the season of Eastertide in the liturgical year. Eastertide is celebrated from Easter Sunday for fifty days, until the day of Pentecost, and focuses on the meaning of Christ’s resurrection. The liturgical color is white, symbolizing light, victory, and eternal life.

Giving of our Resources

Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church in 2021, whether in-person or online here or mail / drop off your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to minister through virtual church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.

Thank you for providing for the mission and ministry of First Baptist Church!
