Scripture includes: Psalm 8 and John 16:12-15

Rev. Dr. Mike Hatfield will preach a sermon entitled, “Where Has Humility Gone?”

Today is Trinity Sunday in the Christian year, when we proclaim the church’s belief in a Triune God—Father, Son, Holy Spirit. It is a day in which we praise and worship the infinitely complex and unfathomable mystery of God’s being as Holy Trinity, One in Three, Three in One. The liturgical color for Trinity Sunday is white, symbolizing God’s purity and perfection.

Scripture includes: Acts 2:1-21 and John 14:8-17, 25-27

The Children & Youth of both churches will preach the sermon.

Today is Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost, the birthday of the church, is celebrated each year the Sunday after Eastertide. We celebrate the Holy Spirit (symbolized as fire in Acts 2) being given to the believers, thus giving birth to the church. The liturgical color is red, and we celebrate corporately by wearing the colors of fire: red, orange, and yellow.
