Back2School 2025: Volunteers Needed!
Each school year, First Baptist joins with churches and organizations all over the region to provide backpacks, school supplies, and new shoes and socks to children.
This year during the month of July First Baptist Woman’s Mission Union (WMU) will be collecting school supplies to help fill the backpacks. Supplies needed are:

Please bring all supplies to our Missions Room (Rm. 103) at the church. Your generosity helps us to support this important ministry. Thank you.
We also need your help!
This year it will be held at the Uptown Ministry Center and volunteers are needed for:
- Registration #1: Saturday, July 12th, 12:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m.-Uptown Ministry Center-register the names and measure their feet.
- Registration #2: Tuesday, July 22nd, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.-Uptown Ministry Center-register the names and measure their feet.
- Pack the Bus: July 18th – 20th-Walmart Shifts TBD
- Filling Backpacks: Tuesday, July 29th, 6:00 p.m.-700 Commerce Court, Martinsville
- Ministry Center Setup for the Big Event: Wednesday, July 30th, 5:00 p.m.
- Special Needs Day: Friday, August 1st-Community Fellowship Church
- The Big Event: Saturday, August 2nd -Uptown Ministry Center
