Music Camp Opportunity!

July 15-19, 2024 at Eagle Eyrie in Lynchburg, VA

Children & Youth Grades 4-12

Music & Worship Arts Camp will be held at the Eagle Eyrie Conference Center in Lynchburg, VA from July 15-19, 2024. The theme this year is “A Christmas ADVENTure”.

Camp pricing for non-ELC students will be $345 and for ELC students will be $210 for the week. There are some scholarship funds available to help cover costs. Register your child or grandchild today! The registration deadline is June 11, 2024. The Registration Worksheet can be found here (print & scan/email or drop off at the church) or you can pick up a copy in the church office or from your child’s ELC teacher.

Music and Worship Arts Camp is a powerful opportunity to explore and expand our expressions of worship and to grow closer as a family of faith – joining together to praise God who created us for
relationship! Music & Worship Arts Camp has been a wonderful experience for thousands of children and youth in Virginia for more than 40 years.

The Alpha track at Music & Worship Arts Camp is designed with older children in mind. The grade levels for each camp are based on the school grade which has been completed. The Alpha Track is primarily made of those who have completed Grades 4-5.

Alpha Class Descriptions: Experience… Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love… through:

Banners – Create and design Advent banners to interpret the Christmas story. $5.00 fee

Chimes – Join our Celebration Chime Choir as we ring in the season! No experience needed.

Christmas Around the World – In how many languages can you say Merry Christmas? Experience an international Christmas including nativities, legends, instruments, and songs. Feliz Navidad!

Drama – Express yourself! Bring scripts to life while working on character development and teamwork through improv and acting games. No experience needed. Space limited.

Drumming – “Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum!” Explore the world of hand drumming and percussion traditions as we follow our journey with God through the Advent themes. Instruments will include djembe, tubano, conga and more.

Interpretive Movement – Create and learn choreography to enhance the seasonal songs. No experience needed. Space limited.

Make It/Give It – Spread the spirit of the season by making a gift to share with the community. $10.00 fee

Photography – Click it! Snap it! Send it! Make a merry memory by taking inspiring photographs. (Bring a point and-shoot, DLSR, or phone camera to class.)

Piano I – Carols on the keys! Come and meet your keyboard. (Space limited)
