Tomie de Paola’s Big Book of Favorite Legends
Looking for good books for your children or grand-children? We have a whole room of books for children from pre-school to age eleven!
Tomie de Paola [who passed away in January of this year] has been a favorite illustrator of children. He has also written children’s books. Kesler Young People’s Room has many de Paola books. The pictured one is a book of legends collected by the author. He often featured his Italian background in his books. This collection an eclectic set of what he calls his favorite legends. One Southwestern [American] one Mexican, and one Italian. The illustrations of each are delightful with De Paola’s distinctive painting spread over the pages with just enough text to keep the story going.
