Scripture includes: John 20:1-18
Rev. Dr. Libby Grammer will preach a sermon entitled, “I Have Seen the Lord!”
The first preacher of the resurrection in the Gospel of John, Mary Magdalene, was found at the empty tomb by her Lord. In the moments she heard her name from the man she mistook for the gardener, she had a story to tell. Jesus gave her a mission: Go and tell. May the Resurrection be a story we can’t help but tell, not just on Easter Sunday, but every day!
Today is Easter Sunday, the joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Easter Sunday marks the end of Holy Week, the end of the season of Lent, and is the beginning of Eastertide in the liturgical year. Eastertide is celebrated from Easter Sunday for fifty days, until the day of Pentecost, and focuses on the meaning of Christ’s resurrection. The liturgical color is white, symbolizing light, victory, and eternal life.
Giving of our Resources
Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church in 2023, whether in-person or online here – or mail / drop off your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to minister through in-person and virtual church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.
