Book Review: Four Feet, Two Sandals from McCabe Library

Got a little time on your hands?

Read Four Feet, Two Sandals

by Karen Lynn Williams & Khadra Mohammed

This is a wonderful parable about friendship, love and understanding. It is also an insight into the nature of immigration camps and the thoughts we should have about helping other. Two young girls in a migrant camp end up grasping for the last pair of shoes. It could have ended up as a fight I guess, but these two decided to share the shoes. Each would wear the pair for a day. They exchanged while standing in line at the well each morning. Their friendship grows over the days. Then one day, one family gets a home in resettlement. You will have to read this lovely story to hear the end. A great lesson of empathy and blessings.
