Today is the Fourth Sunday After Epiphany in the Christian year. Epiphany (January 6) celebrates the manifestation of God in Jesus Christ. The Season of Epiphany continues this emphasis, calling attention to the words and deeds of Jesus’ earthly ministry. The liturgical color for the season is green, representing new life and growth. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion, and the liturgical color changes to white to recognize the holiness and majesty of Christ.
