The FBC Missions Committee voted to send the following monetary donations from our Missions Opportunities fund for local ministry partners:
$200 to the MHC Warming Center
This amount is enough to house up to 5 people for one night in a hotel as needed during the pandemic when the Center cannot open. The Warming Center will have full discretion over how the funds are used.
$250 to our local Habitat for Humanity
Habitat, a longtime mission partner for FBC builds and renovates affordable housing in our community. FBC has church members involved in the building of Habitat homes and considers Habitat one of our excellent ministries in this community.
$200 to the Henry County Food Pantry
Inspired by the Women on Mission Action Project for January – monetary donations to our local food pantry, the Missions Committee added $200 to the donations already received from church members. During the pandemic, there has been a huge increase in food insecurity as well as other household items. The Henry County Food pantry is a great ministry partner, providing for those who need it most in this season.
Thank you for generously providing for FBC’s Missions Opportunities!
