Rise Against Hunger Event

Rise Against Hunger Event

On Saturday, November 16, from 9:00 am to Noon, FBC will be joining other CBF Sister Churches in sponsoring a meal-packing event with Rise Against Hunger, an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity worldwide. These simple bags of rice and soy symbolize hope and support for people across the globe, helping to feed communities in need.

Rise Against Hunger is a charitable not for profit entity whose mission is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. One of the ways that Rise Against hunger works to achieve its mission is by working with other interested parties to stage meal packaging events to create fortified, dehydrated, shelf-stable meals that are transported by Rise Against Hunger to identified areas of food insecurity.

Mark your calendars for November 16th at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall!

We’re looking for 50 volunteers to join us in this hands-on service opportunity! Let’s work together to pack meals and make a difference in the lives of those facing hunger.

If you are a volunteer please click on the link to register with Rise Against Hunger. Any questions please call the church office.
