Rev. Ashley Harrington will preach a sermon entitled, “Be My Guest”
Paul finds a prayer group gathering at the river outside of Philippi. There he meets Lydia who is both hospitable to these outsiders and to God’s Spirit. How are we hospitable to the Spirit’s promptings? And how are we offering God’s abundant hospitality to others?
This Sunday is Rev. Harrington’s final Sunday as our Interim Minister to Children. Join us in worship as we hear her preach, and join us after worship for a reception in the Bell Tower to bid her family farewell!
Today is the Sixth Sunday of Easter. Easter Sunday was the beginning of the season of Eastertide in the liturgical year. Eastertide is celebrated from Easter Sunday for fifty days, until the day of Pentecost, and focuses on the meaning of Christ’s resurrection. The liturgical color is white, symbolizing light, victory, and eternal life.
Giving of our Resources
Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church. You can give in person in the offering plate, online here, or mail / drop off your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to minister through church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.
Thank you for providing for the mission and ministry of First Baptist Church!
