The world has moments of joy we can all recognize: the birth of a child, the beauty of a sunrise, the excitement of a new adventure. But this world also has so much struggle and pain, so much waiting and worry, so much pain and death. But there is a promise, as old as the prophet Isaiah, that the coming One will pierce our brokenness with joy, our darkness with light. We will one day overcome all that holds us back, and we will rejoice forever. We have a promise in our coming Messiah, and no matter the sorrow we now face, we will one day be overwhelmed with joy.
