Rev. Dr. Libby Grammer will preach a sermon entitled, “Surely the Lord is in this place!”
In a season where “sanctuary” has come to mean many places, from living rooms to back yards, to YouTube and Zoom, what does it mean that God chooses to meet with us in our human spaces? Jacob in our Genesis passage this week encountered God unexpectedly on the road, and it became the House of God (“Beth-El” or Bethel) for him and for his people. Where are we placing our own pillars today that mark our spaces of worship and encounter? How can we best understand what it means to be in God’s house – when God’s encounter comes in unexpected ways?

Giving of our Resources
Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church, even as we cannot meet in person each week. You can give online here or mail / drop off your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to minister through virtual church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.
Thank you for providing for the mission and ministry of First Baptist Church!
