Fifth Sunday in Lent
Virtual Church – Online
Scriptures include: Psalm 130 and Ezekiel 37:1-14
Rev. Dr. Libby Grammer will preach a sermon entitled “The Spirit’s Agenda”
There’s a beautiful image in a rather dark place in this passage from Ezekiel. The prophet has been through so much, and now he stands in a valley of dry bones. And it’s in this place of wilderness, darkness, and death, that Ezekiel finds hope for renewed life. If the people Israel had anything to learn, it’s that God’s Spirit can and will bring new life in the midst of terrifying and horrible circumstances. Perhaps this Lent, this season of pandemic, we can learn alongside Israel from the prophet’s vision.
Giving of our Resources
Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church, even as we cannot meet in person each week. You can give online here or mail your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to offer ministry to our church members through virtual church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.
Also – don’t forget that we are participating in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Offering for Global Missions in this season, too.
Pray & Give – our goal as a church is $2,000, and we have raised $1507.50 thus far. We hope to meet and exceed our gifts for CBF’s good work!
Lastly, if you are willing to pick up medications or groceries or other needed items for those who cannot get out, please let the church office know. As we assess the needs of our church and wider community, we may have a job for you! Pick ups can be done through grocery ordering, and drop offs may be done at doorsteps to continue the good practice of social distancing. Thank you!
