Guest CBF Preacher, Nell Green will preach a sermon entitled, “Full of Potential”
We Welcome Nell Green as our guest preacher this morning! After 26 years of field service with CBF in Miami, Brussels, and Houston, Nell is working to help facilitate a culture where mission flourishes by engaging with Field Personnel, the CBF Development and Communications teams, ministry partners, and churches to strengthen the Offering for Global Missions and related projects like the Missions Marketplace at General Assembly for a new generation of Fellowship Baptists. This new role allows Nell to use networking skills and a passion for marketing and promotion to benefit all of CBF’s Field Ministries.
Today is the Third Sunday in Lent. Lent is the season in which we anticipate Jesus’ final trip to Jerusalem and the self-giving nature of love shown in his passion and death. The season begins with Ash Wednesday and extends for forty days through Saturday of Holy Week. Sundays are excluded from Lent, being regarded as feast days in the midst of the forty-day fast. Lent is a strongly penitential season. The liturgical color is purple, used to symbolize penance, preparation, sacrifice.
Giving of our Resources
Please continue to give generously to the ministries of our church in 2021, whether in-person or online here – or mail / drop off your tithes and offerings to the church office. Your gifts help us to continue to minister through in-person and virtual church services, Bible studies, ministry to the community, and more.
Thank you for providing for the mission and ministry of First Baptist Church!
