Ever had coworkers with whom you share a special bond – people you trust to do the work well and honor their colleagues’ efforts? Ever had coworkers who chose not to step up and do the work, where everyone else picked up their slack? In both our scripture lessons today, we realize that the mystery of the Trinity is that God is constantly in the act of self-giving love, providing an example for us to follow. We follow because we are “a little lower than God,” given the task of living out this Holy Mystery together. Alongside God, and by God’s command, we have work to do – loving God, loving our neighbors, sharing the Good News, and shining the Light of this Holy Mystery to the rest of the world. Let’s be the best coworkers we can be.
