Welcome to the FBC ELC 2023-2024 School Year!

Welcome to the FBC ELC 2023-2024 School Year!

We have been working hard over the summer and have some exciting news to share with you!

New Pre-K4 Suite

We are so excited to announce that we have added a new and improved Pre-K4 Suite! This new classroom is located downstairs behind the elevator. It is a much larger space and will really allow our preschoolers to learn and grow. We have also added a new staff member to the Pre-K4 classroom (keep reading for more on that). Since this is a larger classroom, we do have some additional spots open for children. There are limited spots available, and they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will open on Wednesday, August 23rd!

Additional Two-Year-Old Classroom

With our new Pre-K4 Suite, we were able to create an additional classroom for our two year old children. There are limited spots available, and they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will open on Wednesday, August 23rd!

Meet Kym Tatum – Pre-K4 Classroom

Hello! I am Kym Tatum. I have been teaching Preschool for the past 14 1/2 years at First Presbyterian Weekday School and am very excited to be continuing my Pre-K journey with First Baptist. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech.

I am married (Neil) with two children. My daughter, Briana, is 19 and leaving the nest for Virginia Tech (sobs) to continue her education in Business Marketing. My son, Cole, is 16 and a sophomore at Magna Vista. He can usually be found on the nearest basketball court (smile).

I look forward to being a part of the First Baptist family!

Meet Kelly Huff – Two-Year-Old Classroom

Kelly Huff spent 17.5 years at First Presbyterian Weekday School. She held many titles ranging from Teachers Aid, Assistant Director, and lastly, as a Two-Year-Old teacher.

Kelly lives in Martinsville with her husband of 22 years, Howard, and has two children, Lindsay Isernia and Matthew Huff.
