2025 Pledge Card
Dear Church Family,
As 2024 draws toward 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the blessings we have experienced this year and give thanks for all that has been accomplished.
Our church facility has been refreshed and updated. We are meeting our mission goals for 2024, and thanks to the vision and strong leadership of our ELC Director and the Church Building and Grounds Committee, the ELC has been updated with renovated rooms, and has attained full State accreditation.
The 2025 Budget was approved at the October 27, 2024 business meeting. In the brochure linked above, we share our 2025 Ministry Plan that shows how the line items in our budget are used in our continuing ministry. Please read this material prayerfully, and consider how you can help us meet the needs of the church during 2025.
FBC’s Commitment Sunday is November 17, 2024. If you haven’t received a pledge card and would like one to commit yourself for a certain financial amount next year (which helps us to plan our budgets year by year), you can request one from the church office to be mailed or emailed, or you may print one by clicking the link above. Send our Financial Secretary Kaylee White an email by clicking here.
The best way to help us plan well is to fill out a pledge card to let us know you’ve joined in as a committed giver in 2025. But whether you pledge or not, we ask that you prayerfully consider increasing your generous giving for the 2025 ministry year at First Baptist.
This year, with sadness, we bid our Senior Pastor Libby Grammer farewell as she continues in her ministry at Lakeside Church in Rocky Mount, NC. We are blessed to be under the strong leadership of Rev. Steve Zimmerman who will be serving as our Interim Pastor as we begin this new chapter in the life of our church family.
As we plan for this new year, we need everyone to carefully, prayerfully plan for increasing the vitality and productivity of our church, generously giving of our time and resources to continue our work in this community.
We celebrated 140 years as a Church family, and as we look to the future First Baptist and our sister church, Chatham Heights Baptist stand poised to serve our community in 2025.
With our Lord’s ever-present guidance, we begin our ministry again.
In Christ,
Bill Sapp, Chairman of Business and Finance
