The (Clarence) Lee Lester Educational Fund was established by Annie and George Tilden “G.T.” Lester, Jr. upon the untimely death of their son, Lee, due to injuries following an automobile accident. Loans were to be granted to deserving students of First Baptist Church members including children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives as long as the student was related to the church member. College, University, Community College, Trade or Vocational school were all included as possible higher education opportunities.
